About CATHS Welcome to the Cinema And Theatre Historical Society... The aims of CATHS are to: • Foster interest in theatre and cinema heritage • Preserve theatre and cinema buildings and artefacts • Promote interest in theatre architecture • Work with other community groups on related projects • Assist in the collection and preservation of film and movie equipment • Organise social functions and special events to commemorate historic occasions. CATHS is interested in all aspects of cinema and theatre - past, present and future - from vaudeville to picture palaces and megaplexes! CATHS meetings are always fun and lively with interesting theatre news, activity reports and personal projects. A movie serial is also screened, together with guest speakers, presentations or historic movie shows. You are most welcome to come along to one of our meetings to 'try us out'!
