CATHS is a non-profit organisation run by dedicated volunteers

The aims of CATHS are to:
• Foster interest in theatre and cinema heritage
• Preserve theatre and cinema buildings and artefacts
• Promote interest in theatre architecture • Record the history of cinemas and theatres
• Organise social functions and special events to commemorate historic occasions.

CATHS is interested in all aspects of cinema and theatre - past, present and future - from vaudeville to picture palaces and megaplexes! CATHS meetings are always informative with interesting theatre news, activity reports and personal projects. Meetings frequently include regular guest speakers, presentations and historic movie shows. You are most welcome to come along to one of our meetings to 'try us out'! If you love going to the movies or the theatre, are interested in theatre heritage and architecture, or perhaps you have worked in cinema or the performing arts... then why not join CATHS!
