St Kilda is an inner seaside suburb in Melbourne, 6 km south-east of the Central Business District.

After the turn of the century, St Kilda became Melbourne's favoured playground, with electric tram lines linking to the seaside amusement rides, ballrooms, cinemas and cafes, as a result, crowds flocked to the St Kilda area.

The suburb of St Kilda can boast to having over 25 different theatres over the years. These have ranged from basic open-air venues to the three magnificent theatres shown here.
