CATHS Melbourne Meetings Meetings are held on the last Sunday of February, April, June, July, August, October and November at The Sun Theatre Yarraville, starting at 9.30am. Meetings are always fun and lively, and comprise interesting theatre news, activity reports and personal projects. Following the coffee break, a vintage movie serial is also usually screened, together with a guest speaker or the presentation of  historic movie shorts. Previous meetings have featured an entertaining and informative presentation on the early days of radio by Denzil Howson; a talk and film presentation on the history of Australian Newsreels; a slide presentation an talk of Cinerama in Australia by Eric White. At each meeting, a variety of cinema related material such as DVDs, Video Tapes and CDs are available to members.   Weekend Tours Each year CATHS organises a country or interstate Weekend Tour to visit various cinemas, theatres and other venues of interest.
