Updated 21 July 2008.The Cinema And Theatre Historical Society has an active Film Buffs group. Activities usually centre around the interests of those into the presentation or technical side if cinema. Events include collectors' swapmeets, where members can buy, sell or exchange items of interest. Film screenings and get-togethers are held at member's home cinemas, frequently starting or concluding with a barbecue or other social activity. The CATHS Film Buffs group also organises Australian and international tours, and the Film Buffs Weekend which include visits to cinemas, theatres, heritage centres, as well as the activities outlined above. CATHS SwapmeetCATHS Annual Swapmeet and Auction is held on the last Sunday of July each year.
