HISTORY WEEK TALK BY PRESIDENT

Richard Twentyman will present, on behalf of CATHS, an illustrated talk on the History of the Geelong Theatre. The event will be at the Prahran Mechanics Institute (PMI) in Saturday 13 October, commencing at 11.00 am.  CATHS members are most welcome to attend.   Booking are required.    GENERAL MEETING        

Our next general meeting will be on Sunday 28 October at the Sun Theatre - doors open at 9.00 for 9.30 start. Guest presenter of the 15 Minutes of Fame segment will be Alan Winn. Following the coffee break, the second half of the History of Color in the Movies - the Technicolor Story plus other material will be screened.

DECEASED MEMBERS

It is with great sadness that we advise of the deaths of Lawrie Taylor from Rainbow Beach in Queensland and Keith Beecher from Rye, Victoria since our last mail out.  

ARCHIVE UPDATE

Several members have made donations of magazines, clippings, programs, pictures, etc to be added to our holdings.  New volunteers are always welcome. The archive is open Wednesdays and Thursdays.

RESEARCH GROUP

  The next Research Group meeting will be held at the CATHS Archive at 1 pm on Wednesday 24.

The committee encourages you to check out your local cinema(s) and confirm whether

all information is correct. We would love to hear from you if you find errors or omissions,

or even an acknowledgement that we have it correct.
