Unusual Offerings From time to time unconfirmed material surfaces and we like to find some evidence to support the various interpretations accorded to it. Our first such offering in this Web Forum is the large Hoyts Theatres Horn Speaker. Can you offer any comment?

Handbook Register Caths members are planning to introduce a register of handbooks relating to cinema and theatre equipment. This would include projectors, lighting, sound equipment etc. It is planned to include all gauges employed in cinemas and theatres including 16mm in the register. Caths will not be holding the actual handbooks but rather act as a central registry and contact point so that a possible source of technical information can be made available to a researcher or person seeking information to restore old equipment. Any feed-back is welcome about this initiative as well as indications of availability of handbooks, circuit diagrams etc. which could be added to our listing.  It should be noted that it is not our intention to publish personal details of those prepared to make such information available to members of the Society.
